Anxiety related to math is a common experience that can significantly impact a student's academic performance. To tackle this issue, we teamed up with MathCity to create a series of innovative experiences and products designed to make math more approachable, relevant, and enjoyable.
Our first project was an interactive installation built for our client's museum in Leeds - the Cypher Wall. Built in collaboration with Hirsch&Mann, this 7ft interactive wall displays brief messages that need deciphering. In parallel, we developed the user experience and designed the app to interact with the installation.
During the following sprint, we focused on creating experiential products that could help our clients expand their reach beyond Leeds. We came up with Geo Bash, a digital desktop game that focuses on geometry and math, allowing kids to learn about trigonometry in a fun and interactive way, from anywhere.
With these resources, we hope to inspire more students to overcome their fear of math and embrace it as a powerful tool for learning and problem-solving.
